Beas Kund Trek is Origen of Beas River, a small glacial lake surrounded by towering snow-capped peaks. Locals believe that Rishi Vyas, the author of the Mahabharata, meditated and wrote the epic at this lake. Beas Kund Trek is one of the most popular trekking destinations in India, located in the state of Himachal Pradesh. This trek provides trekkers with stunning views of the Pir Panjal and Dhauladhar ranges and takes them to the source of the Beas River, considered sacred by the locals. The trek begins from Solang Valley, which is a popular tourist destination near Manali. From Solang, the trek takes you through dense forests of pine and oak, and then opens up to meadows and streams. The trail is moderately challenging and can be completed in 2 days (1N/2D) with proper preparation and guidance. The highlight of the trek is reaching Beas Kund, a small glacial lake surrounded by towering snow-capped peaks. The best time to go on this trek is from mid April to October when the weather is pleasant and the trekking routes are accessible.
