This 11-day Delhi to Delhi Umling La & Tso Moriri Ladakh bike trip is all about long-distance riding, extreme altitudes, and exploring Ladakh’s most remote and untouched regions. Starting from Delhi, the journey takes you through Manali and into the high-altitude desert via the iconic Leh-Manali highway. The ride from Manali to Leh via Atal Tunnel, Jispa, and Sarchu sets the tone—dramatic landscapes, high mountain passes, and endless open roads. After exploring Leh, the journey continues towards Nubra Valley via Khardung La (17,982 ft), followed by the scenic ride to Pangong Lake, where crystal-clear waters meet rugged mountains. The adventure deepens as you head towards Hanle, one of Ladakh’s most remote regions known for its clear skies and raw beauty. From here, you ride to Umling La (19,024 ft)—one of the highest motorable roads in the world—before continuing to Tso Moriri, a high-altitude lake known for its untouched landscapes and peaceful surroundings. The return journey via Sarchu and Manali completes a full Himalayan circuit, bringing you back to Delhi after covering some of the most extreme and scenic routes in Ladakh.

The most awaited Ladakh Bike Ride begins on this day. We start riding from Manali towards Sarchu. The route takes us through Solang Valley, across the iconic Atal Tunnel, and past the scenic village of Sissu. From Jispa towards Sarchu, crossing some of the most dramatic high-altitude terrain of the journey. The route takes us through Darcha and Zing Zing Bar, known for their raw landscapes and rugged roads. We cross Baralacha La Pass at an altitude of 16,043 ft. Short stops at the stunning Suraj Taal & Deepak Taal add to the day’s experience. We continue our journey towards Sarchu. Upon arrival, check-in at camps. Overnight stay at Sarchu in camps. This day is planned for Sham Valley local sightseeing near Leh. Visit Gurudwara Pathar Sahib, a revered Sikh shrine. Stop at Magnetic Hill, known for its unique optical illusion, here vehicles seem to move uphill on their own. Then visit breathtaking Sangam Point, the confluence of the Indus and Zanskar rivers. We drive back to Leh city by evening and visit Shanti Stupa. Known for its iconic structure that offers panoramic views of Leh and the surrounding mountains. Overnight stay in Leh. We start the day with breakfast in Hanle, gearing up for one of the most thrilling rides of the trip. Get ready, ignite your engines, and begin a thrilling ride to the highest motorable road in the world - Umling La! The ride takes us towards Umling La Pass, sitting at around 19,300 ft and known as the highest motorable road in the world. Take some time to enjoy the views around Umling La and capture a few memorable pictures. On our way back to Hanle, we will cross other highest passes like Photi La (18,124 ft) and Nurbu La (17,328 ft). After visiting Umling La, we begin our journey towards Tso Moriri Lake Upon reaching at Tso Moriri, take leisure time at lake side. Overnight stay in Karzok. Breakfast and dinner included. Riding Distance: 250 km approx.
We begin our journey towards Sarchu from Tso Moriri (Karzok). Today, we ride on one of the highest roads on the Manali Leh Highway. Pass through high mountain passes like Tanglang La pass (17,582 feet). As the landscape slowly changes, we bid farewell to Ladakh and ride along winding roads into Himachal Pradesh. By evening, we arrive at Sarchu and settle in for the night. Overnight stay in Sarchu. Breakfast and dinner included. Riding Distance: 170 km
We start our ride from Sarchu towards Manali, covering one of the longest days of the journey. The terrain is rough in parts, so the focus is on covering distance with minimal stopovers. This route takes us through Darcha and Zing Zing Bar, followed by the climb to Baralacha La Pass (16,043 ft). We pass the beautiful Suraj Taal and Deepak Taal, tucked into the high mountains of Lahaul. As we descend, the scenery softens while riding through Sissu, the iconic Atal Tunnel, and into the green stretches of Solang Valley. By evening, we arrive in Manali, marking the completion of an epic Himalayan road journey. Overnight stay in Manali. Breakfast and dinner included. Riding Distance: 200 km
After breakfast, we check out and enjoy some free time in Manali. The day is open for relaxed sightseeing or adventure activities by self. Popular options include paragliding, river rafting, a stroll along Mall Road, and visits to Hadimba Devi Temple, Old Manali, Manu Temple, Vashishtha Temple, and nearby hot water springs. In the evening, we board the Volvo semi-sleeper bus for Delhi. Overnight journey towards Delhi that will be approx. 13 hours. Breakfast included.
We arrive in Delhi early in the morning. The journey comes to an end, closing an unforgettable Himalayan adventure.
Wearing a helmet,carrying a valid and original ID proof,and driving license is mandatory during the trip. Only one backpack of 60 liters will be allowed in the backup vehicle. Backup vehicle services for groups of more than 10 motorbikes available for emergencies. If anyone leaves the trip in-between,they will not be eligible for a refund and will be responsible for the cost of transporting the bike from the point of departure to the endpoint of the trip. Insurance for medical,accidental,and theft is not included in this trip. Any additional expenses incurred due to bad weather or any other reasons for stay,transportation,and meals will be paid by the travellers. We reserve the right to cancel the trip if we do not reach the minimum requirement or due to any unforeseen conditions.
