Itinerary
We begin our journey from Delhi towards Manali in the evening. Boarding Point: ISBT Kashmiri Gate / Majnu Ka Tila, Delhi. Boarding Time: Anytime after 05:00 PM - 09:00 PM. The overnight journey is by Volvo semi-sleeper bus and takes approximately 13 hours. Sit back, relax, and rest as we travel overnight towards the mountains.
We arrive in Manali and check in at the hotel / camp. The rest of the day is free to explore Manali or try adventure activities by self. Popular options around Manali include paragliding, river rafting, hot air balloon rides, and exploring the lively Mall Road market. Can also visit Hadimba Devi Temple, Old Manali, Manu Temple, Vashishtha Temple, and nearby hot water springs. In the evening, we gather for a short briefing and prepare for the journey ahead. Overnight stay in Manali. Dinner included.
The most awaited Ladakh Bike Ride begins on this day. We start riding from Manali towards Jispa. The route takes us through Solang Valley, across the iconic Atal Tunnel, and past the scenic village of Sissu. As we enter Lahaul, the landscape opens up into wide valleys, rivers, and quiet mountain views. Overnight stay at Jispa / Billing in camps. Breakfast and dinner included. Riding Distance: 110 km
We ride from Jispa towards Sarchu, crossing some of the most dramatic high-altitude terrain of the journey. The route takes us through Darcha and Zing Zing Bar, known for their raw landscapes and rugged roads. We cross Baralacha La Pass at an altitude of 16,043 ft. Short stops at the stunning Suraj Taal & Deepak Taal add to the day’s experience. We continue our journey towards Sarchu. Upon arrival, check-in at camps. Overnight stay at Sarchu in camps. Starting ride from Sarchu towards Leh, finally entering the heart of the Ladakh region. We cross Nakee La, pass through Whisky Nallah, and ride over Lachulung La - all high altitude passes. Ride through and experience the thrill of the iconic Gata Loops, known for their 21 hairpin bends at 15,320 ft. Then continue through Pang, ride across the wide open More Plains - the most scenic part of the trip, and finally cross Tanglang La. By evening, we arrive in Leh, marking the completion of one of the longest rides of the trip. Upon reaching, we check in at the hotel for a good rest. Overnight stay in Leh. We start riding from Leh towards Nubra Valley, known for its wide landscapes and cold desert terrain. Nubra Valley, located north of Ladakh between the Karakoram and Ladakh ranges From Leh Town, we ride towards Khardung La Pass, situated at an altitude of 18,380 ft. one of the world’s highest motorable pass in the world. The road then descends into Nubra, with open valleys, sand flats, and distant mountains coming into view. We continue ride till Diskit Monastery, the oldest and largest monastery in Nubra Valley. We visit the magnificant Maitreya Buddha Statue, standing 106 ft tall and overlooking the valley. By evening, we arrive at Hunder Sand Dunes. Time to relax, enjoy a double-humped camel ride, ATV Ride on the sand dunes. Or take in the quiet evening and incredible sunset behind the mountains. After sightseeing, arrival at the stays, complete check-in and rest time. Overnight stay in Nubra Valley. Breakfast and dinner included. Riding Distance: 160 km
We begin another adventurous riding day towards magnificant Pangong Lake The route leads to Pangong Tso via the Shyok River or Wari La Pass, both rugged routes commonly used by the army. By evening, we reach Pangong Lake and settle in near the lakeshore. Pangong Tso is a high-altitude (14,270 feet) saline lake located along the Indo–China border. It is about 4 Kms wide and 136 Kms long. Enjoy leisure time around the lake, where you can admire the reflection of the surrounding mountains in the stunning blue lake. Overnight stay near Pangong Lake. Breakfast and dinner included. Riding Distance: 160 km Note: If Pangong Tso is inaccessible due to weather or road conditions, we will return to Leh via an alternate route.
Today we ride from Pangong Lake towards Hanle, one of Ladakh’s most remote regions. On the way, we will pass the town of Chushul and then stop at the Rezang La War Memorial, paying tribute to the heroes who laid down their lives for their motherland in the 1962 Indo–China War. The ride opens up to vast Changthang landscapes with views of the Black Mountain and endless valleys. On the way, stop for lunch and continue riding through the rugged landscape until we reach the charming village of Hanle. Hanle is renowned as the site of the Indian Astronomical Observatory and India's first Dark Sky Reserve. Thanks to clear skies and minimal light pollution, Hanle is ideal for stargazing and astrophotography. At night, if the skies are clear, we step out to watch the Milky Way light up the sky. We start the day with breakfast in Hanle, gearing up for one of the most thrilling rides of the trip. Get ready, ignite your engines, and begin a thrilling ride to the highest motorable road in the world - Umling La! The ride takes us towards Umling La Pass, sitting at around 19,300 ft and known as the highest motorable road in the world. The road between Chisumle and Demchok, often called the Umling La Road, offers raw terrain, sharp climbs, and a true high-altitude riding experience. This road is higher than the Everest Base Camp. Take some time to enjoy the views around Umling La and capture a few memorable pictures. Depending on weather and road conditions, we also ride towards Demchok, a small border village located near the Indus River. On our way back to Hanle, we will cross other highest passes like Photi La (18,124 ft) and Nurbu La (17,328 ft). Overnight stay at Hanle / Nyoma. Breakfast and dinner included. We begin our journey back to Leh, riding via the scenic Chumathang route. On way we stop at the iconic Mahe Bridge, an important crossing set amid dramatic mountain landscapes. A short break at the Chumathang hot springs, known for their naturally warm, sulphur-rich waters. As we get closer to Leh, we visit Thiksey Monastery, famous for its striking architecture and panoramic valley views. On the way back, we visit Druk Padma Karpo School (popularly known as Rancho’s School from '3 idiots' Movie). By evening, we arrive back in Leh and settle in after the long ride. Overnight stay in Leh. Breakfast and dinner included. Riding Distance: 240 km approx.
We start driving from Leh towards Kargil, travelling through the scenic Sham Valley route. First we will visit Hall of Fame, a museum/ war memorial built in memory of the martyrs of the Indo-Pak War that showcases various aspects of high-altitude warfare. Visit Gurudwara Pathar Sahib, a sacred site dedicated to Guru Nanak Dev Ji, known for the holy boulder with his imprints. Stop at Magnetic Hill, known for its unique optical illusion, here vehicles seem to move uphill on their own. Then visit breathtaking Sangam Point, the confluence of the Indus and Zanskar rivers. The journey continues with a visit to the iconic Lamayuru Monastery, set amid Ladakh’s moon-like landscapes. We cross Namika La (12,139 ft) & Fotu La (13,478 ft) Pass before descending towards Kargil. By evening, we arrive in Kargil and check in for the night. Overnight stay in Kargil. We ride from Kargil towards Srinagar, marking the final leg of the journey. This route takes us across Zoji La Pass, one of the most dramatic passes on the Ladakh–Kashmir route. We pass through the scenic stretch near Tiger Hill, rich with history and mountain views. A stop at the Drass War Memorial to pay tribute to the soldiers of the Kargil War. The ride continues to Sonmarg, often called the Mini Switzerland of India, before descending into Srinagar. By evening, we arrive in Srinagar and check in for the night. Overnight stay in Srinagar. Breakfast and dinner included. Riding Distance: 220 km
Experience a beautiful morning with scenic views of Srinagar. have your breakfast at hotel and then proceed with check-out. We conclude our Himalayan adventure with a flight from Srinagar. If the flight is later in the day, you can utilise time to explore Srinagar and Dal Lake by self. Breakfast included.
Wearing a helmet, carrying a valid and original ID proof, and driving license is mandatory during the trip. Only one backpack of 60 liters will be allowed in the backup vehicle. Backup vehicle services for groups of more than 10 motorbikes available for emergencies. If anyone leaves the trip in-between, they will not be eligible for a refund and will be responsible for the cost of transporting the bike from the point of departure to the endpoint of the trip. Insurance for medical, accidental, and theft is not included in this trip. Any additional expenses incurred due to bad weather or any other reasons for stay, transportation, and meals will be paid by the travellers. We reserve the right to cancel the trip if we do not reach the minimum requirement or due to any unforeseen conditions. Travellers are also subject to the terms and conditions outlined at host.
