Arrive in Ahmedabad by noon, and be stunned by the city that never fails to enchant visitors with its stunning architecture, delectable cuisine, and cutting-edge culture. From the airport, proceed to the hotel. Spend the evening at leisure by exploring the shopper's paradise, Ahmedabad. Who doesn’t love Gujarati snacks? Go on a tasting spree by tasting all the Gujarati snacks and visit the Law Garden Night Market which is very famous for the handicraft goods sold by local people and is often known as the heaven for junk jewellery!! Return back to the hotel. Dinner and overnight stay at Ahmedabad.
Post breakfast we will start our day to indulge in the history and architectural magnificence of two very famous places - Rani ki Vav aka Rani ka StepWell and Modhera Sun Temple. One of Gujarat's finest and most extensive examples of stepwell construction is known as Rani ki vav. It was constructed at the pinnacle of stepwell construction expertise and Maru-Gurjara architectural style, demonstrating mastery of this challenging method and exquisite attention to detail and proportions. Set along the backdrop of River Pushpavati, surrounded by a terra-formed garden of flowering trees and songs of birds, rests the famed Sun temple of Modhera. The wonderfully sculpted kund and the specially carved temple complex are works of art in the masonry of the Solanki period, which is also referred to as the Golden Age of Gujarat. Enjoy your trip back in time to the glorious era of the Golden Age as you are personally greeted by the lifelike idols who are telling you the tales and legends of Modhera! Drive back to Ahmedabad. Post breakfast we will proceed to Rajkot via Sabarmati Ashram and Hutheesing Jain temple. The Sabarmati Ashram (also known as Harijan Ashram) was home to Mohandas Gandhi from 1917 until 1930 and served as one of the main centres of the Indian freedom struggle. Our next stop is the magnificent architectural marvel the Hutheesing Jain Temple. this wonderful masterpiece costed more than a million dollars at that time.The sheer dedication of the architect and artisans is reflected over the beautiful walls and designs of the temple. It took around 2 years to complete the overall formation. Post lunch, we shall proceed to Rajkot. Rajkot was a princely state before independence and Mahatma Gandhi's father was the chief 'Dewan' of this state. Overnight stay and dinner at Rajkot.
Dwarka - The Mythological Mysteries. After breakfast, we'll go on a beautiful ride to the historic city of Dwarka. At the extremity of the Kathiawar peninsula, it is one of India's holiest cities. The archaeological and historical background of Dwarka is still shrouded in secrecy. Garuda, the Divine Eagle, chose Dwarka as the place where Lord Krishna took shelter post departing from Mathura. Krishna established his capital at this seaside town and remained there till his passing. Once you reach Dwarka, check into your hotel. Visit the Dwarkadhish temple for the evening aarti, which will bring you inner peace and would make you one with the divine. Post the mesmerising aarti, come back to hotel. Dinner and overnight stay in Dwarka.
Today, visit the Nageshwar temple, one of the 12 swayambhu (self-existent) jyotirlingas in the world. Next we will explore the Beyt Dwarka, which sits off the coast of Okha port. Beyt Dwarka welcomes you with a humble yet joyful atmosphere. Bright, contemporary murals of Matsya, Radha, Lakshmi, Satyabhama, Jambuvanti, and Devaki are used to embellish the temple of Lord Vishnu. Drive back to Dwarka after spending the evening in Beyt Dwarka. Dinner and overnight stay in Dwarka.
Get ready to awaken your spirit in Somnath. The lovely old seaport of Porbandar - The birthplace of Mahatma Gandhi. After paying respects to the "Father of the Nation," we will continue driving to Somnath, one of Lord Shiva's twelve most revered shrines and a Jyotirlinga. The moon god Somraj is said to have initially constructed this temple out of gold. Up until the Mughal emperor Aurangzeb's invasion on Somnath in 1706 A.D., the city had been rebuilt and destroyed seven times. The magnificent structure as it is today was reconstructed roughly 50 years ago near the exact location where the first shrine stood. The current temple was built with help from Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, known as the "Iron Man" of India. We will go to the Somnath temple to attend the evening aarti and the amazing light and sound show at the sea front. Dinner and overnight stay in Somnath.
Observe the Somnath temple's sparkling spires as the sunrise emerges from the horizon and enjoy the sunrise at the Triveni Sangam at Somnath. For the authentic Gir Safari Experience, head farther and farther out into nature, away from the glitter of cities. Asiatic lions can only be found in their natural habitat in Gir, India's most well-known lion sanctuary, in the Indian subcontinent. Once there, embark on a safari drive with a naturalist guide to explore the jungle's untouched nooks and crannies. You will shortly come across a variety of ungulates feeding in the grass. Watch out for the gorgeous spotted deer and chinkara. Building your excitement, you will soon follow signs of your favourite species, Lions. Additional safaris at Devaliya and Gir can be arranged at your own cost. After the much need adrenaline rush, we will proceed back to the hotel. Dinner and overnight stay at Gir.
After breakfast, we'll drive to Rajkot Enroute Junagarh as the dawning sun ushers in a new day. We will go to Mahabbat Maqbara, which is renowned for its magnificent arches, numerous domes, and tall minarets. Although the layout is similar to the Taj Mahal, a beautiful fusion of French windows and Gothic columns, as well as Euro-Indo-Islamic architecture, make it a sumptuous sight to see. We will then go to the Junagarh fort, The palaces inside the fort, the gardens, balconies, kiosks, etc., depict a composite architectural style influenced by the different rulers' cultural differences and foreign inspirations. The unique monuments on display in the fort represent 16 generations of rulers in Bikaner starting from the late 16th century. Drive back to Rajkot, evening at Leisure. Dinner and overnight stay in Rajkot.
Post breakfast, bid goodbye to your new friends. You will be dropped to Rajkot Airport for your return flight back home.
