Laka Glacier Trek is a popular trekking route in the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh. It is an easy to moderate level trek that takes you through some of the most scenic landscapes in the region, including gushing streams, and snow-capped mountains. Trek starts from the picturesque town of Dharamkot, Mcleodganj and takes you through the Bhagsu Nag temple, which is a popular tourist attraction in the area. From there, you trek through the lush green forests of the Dhauladhar range, which is home to a wide variety of flora and fauna. Laka Glacier is surrounded by snow-capped peaks, and the views from the top are simply breathtaking. As you climb higher, you will cross several streams and waterfalls, including the famous Bhagsu waterfall. The trail becomes steeper as you approach the Laka Glacier, which is a beautiful snow-covered glacier located at an altitude of 3,200 metres.

The trek starts from Dharamkot where you’ll have to report on day one. From here, and continues towards Triund top. After a relaxing stop, climb to the peak and enjoy the breathtaking views. After a strenuous trek, return to camp for dinner and rest. Connect with group members and sleep in camp under the stars.
Enjoy a hearty meal and start your journey to the Laka Glacier through Triund. The trail may be covered in snow, with snow spots visible as you approach Snowline. Depart for campsite, where you can relax and chat with group members.
This is the last day of your short and exciting adventure. At the campsite, savour one last breathtaking morning as you watch the sun rise behind the Dhauladhar. Have your breakfast before starting the last day of the trek. As you make your way down to Mcleodganj, take in the peaceful sight of a flock of sheep grazing in the lush meadows. By afternoon, you’ll reach Mcleodganj and mark the end of your trek. Your adventure has come to an end, and you get to bring lovely memories with you for the rest of your life!
